Cambodia Gambling Halls

There is a captivating background to the Cambodia casinos that reside just across the dividing line from next door Thailand, in which gambling den wagering is not permitted. Eight casinos are based in a generally small space in the metropolis of Poipet in Cambodia. This band of Cambodia casinos is in a prime area, a 3 to four hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the 2 biggest gambling locations in Asia. Cambodia casinos do a huge business with Thai workers and travelers from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a couple of Westerners. The phenomenal capital acquired from the gambling dens ranges from seven and a half million dollars to over twelve and a half million dollars, and there are a couple of limitations requirements for casino ownership. Ownership is presumed to be mainly Thai; still, financial sources are cryptic. The borders are officially open from 09:00 to 5:00 p.m., and though visas are supposedly required to pass, there are means around this, as is true of most border crossings.
The first Cambodia gambling dens premiered in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were forced to close in the late nineties, leaving only a single gambling den in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, an anchored boat gambling den, features one hundred and fifty slots and 60 gaming tables. The Naga gambling den is open all hours with 42 tables of mini-baccarat banque, four tables of 21, 10 of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and one each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.
The initial gambling hall in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in the late nineties and the Golden Crown quickly followed. A total of one hundred and fifty slot machines and five table games at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four one armed bandits and 68 table games at the Holiday Palace. The latest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort contains 300 slots and 70 tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has one hundred and sixty six slot machines and 96 table games, including eighty seven punto banco (the most popular game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Also, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five slot machine games and sixty six of the familiar table games, as well as one table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the 8 casinos in Poipet, again in a motel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six slot machines and 97 table games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in an all-around resort and hotel building that features many luxuries accompanying the gambling den, which houses 10,000 sq.ft. of 130 one armed bandits and eighty eight table games.
