ACTION: Any style of bet.
ALL-IN: In poker, all-in means a gambler has deposited all of his money into the pot. A second pot is developed for the wagerers with additional chips.
ALL-UP: To wager on many horses in the same event.
ANTE: A poker term for allocating a required number of chips into the pot just beforeeach hand starts.
BRING-IN: A required wager in seven-card stud made by the player displaying the smallest value card.
BUST: You lose; As in chemin de fer, when a gambler’s cards total over 21.
BUY-IN: The the lowest value of money necessary to enroll in a game or tournament.
CALL: As in poker, when a wager is the same as a previously made bet.
CHECK: In poker, to remain in the game without betting. This is allowed only if no other players wager in that round.
CLOSING A BET: As in spread wagering, meaning to lay a wager equal to but converse of the first wager.
COLUMN BET: To wager on one or more of the three columns of a roulette game.
COME BET: In craps, the same as a pass-line bet, but carried out after the shooter has established his number.
COME-OUT ROLL: A crapshooters initial toss to achieve a number, or the initial roll after a number is arrived at.
COVERALL: A bingo term, which means to blanket all the spots on a bingo sheet.
CRAPPING OUT: In craps, to roll a 2, 3 or 12 is an immediate loss on the come-out roll.
DAILY DOUBLE: To choose the winners of the 1st two matches of the tournament.
DOWN BET: To bet that the result of an event will be lower than the lowest end of the quote on a spread bet, also referred to as a "sell".
DOZEN BET: In roulette, to wager on any of 3 sets of twelve numbers, 1-twelve, etc.
EACH WAY BET: A sports gamble, indicating to bet on a team or player to succeed or position in an event.
EVEN MONEY BET: A bet that pays the identical value as bet, ( one to one ).
EXACTA: wagering that 2 horses in an event will complete the race in the exact identical assignment as the bet – also referred to as a " Perfecta ".
FIVE-NUMBER LINE BET: In roulette, a bet placed on a group of 5 numbers, for instance 1-2-3-0, and 00.
