Learning From My Betting Errors

I have been betting on the net or at land based gambling dens for a lot of years. I have found out, the habit usually will grab a hold of you and you won’t even see it until you are beaten. Especially if you are on a winning streak. I have gone through many thousands of dollars in only a short period of time and even today, I will go too long. It seems you are just enjoying yourself until you choose to track your loss and the anguish settles in, and then you keep telling yourself "I can gain the money back" ad nauseam. It doesn’t work. Then you feel sick to your gut and the more you attempt the quicker you throw away.

When you see that you are ahead, STAY Ahead! When you start to give away, do not inform yourself, "well just one more" over and over again, believe me, this scheme RARELY ever works. Say you plan on wagering on slots, keep a number separate before starting your wagering. DO NOT go over this limit, no matter how appealing. If you happen to succeed, put that in a different pot. Don’t bet your payouts at any cost. After you have wagered through your beginning set range, stop. Back off, whether it’s on the net or in a brick and mortar casino, do not stick at the tables or machines. At all times keep in mind, there no doubt will be another day, another time. Obviously, this technique usually will function for any casino game that you play, be it bingo, poker, electronic poker, keno, twenty-one or any other game.

Remember, gaming is supposed to be exciting not burdensome, sickening work! If you aren’t enjoying yourself, you do not belong at the casinos. If you can’t pay for the losses, don’t even start.
